Chief Department of Foreign Legal Policy and International Cooperation
Chief Department of Foreign Legal Policy and International Cooperation is a structural subdivision of the All-Ukrainian Supreme Legal Council that regulates relations between the Organization and foreign registration authorities. The main purpose of the Department is to promote the development of international relations and cooperation in the context of integration into the European legal community and performance a set of organizational and technical means for implementation of universally received international standards for legal profession in Ukraine.
The Chief Department of Foreign Legal Policy and International Cooperation is coordinated by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, acts and orders of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the relevant Section of the Regulation and by orders of the Head of the All-Ukrainian Supreme Legal Council.
The Department has the following competencies:
give advices on issues of employment and further legal education in Ukraine for foreigners;
provides information on issues of employment and study abroad for citizens of Ukraine, who have already got or obtain a law degree;
advice on issues of retraining of Ukrainian lawyers abroad;
advices on issues of execution of visa documents;
cooperation with the authorities, institutions and associations of foreign countries concerning legal practice;
translation of official foreign documents (certificates, awards, licenses, diplomas, etc.);
assistance of implementation and adaptation of international legal standards in Ukraine;
assistance of affiliation of Ukraine to international Conventions;
provide information to stakeholders on issues of foreign authorities, institutions and associations of advocates/lawyers in order prescribed by legislation;
distribute information on international presentations, conferences, symposia;
